Our Journey in Financial Education
From a small team with big dreams to South Africa's trusted platform for technical analysis education. Here's how we built something meaningful together.
The Beginning
Back in 2019, our founder Thabo Mphahlele was working as a financial analyst when he noticed something troubling. Too many people were jumping into trading without understanding the basics—chart patterns, support levels, risk management. They'd lose money, get discouraged, and blame the markets instead of recognizing they simply lacked proper education.
What started as weekend workshops in a small Roodepoort community center grew into something bigger. By 2021, we'd helped over 200 individuals understand technical analysis fundamentals. Not promises of quick riches, but real skills they could build upon.
Growing Our Impact
The transition to online learning in 2022 wasn't easy, but it opened doors we hadn't expected. Suddenly, we could reach students in Cape Town, Durban, and smaller towns across South Africa. Our six-month structured programs became more comprehensive, covering everything from basic candlestick patterns to advanced technical indicators.
We learned that effective financial education isn't about flashy promises—it's about building confidence through understanding. Students appreciated our honest approach: markets are complex, learning takes time, and there are no shortcuts to expertise.

Looking Forward
This year marks our commitment to deeper, more personalized learning experiences. We're launching advanced mentorship programs in September 2025, where experienced analysts work closely with small groups of dedicated students. Think of it as an apprenticeship for the modern age.
Our vision isn't to create day traders chasing quick profits. We want to develop thoughtful analysts who understand market psychology, can read economic indicators, and most importantly, know when NOT to trade. Financial literacy is about making informed decisions, whether you're analyzing your retirement portfolio or considering a property investment.
Our Philosophy
Real financial education takes time—usually six months to a year before students feel genuinely confident reading charts and understanding market movements. We're not interested in selling dreams or making unrealistic promises. Instead, we focus on building solid foundations: technical analysis skills that last, risk management principles that protect, and the analytical thinking that serves you well beyond trading.
